Living in a cardboard box

Hi there!
It's monday and here at the office slash studio we are swamped with boxes. Yes, it's that time if the year. We are unpacking and repacking and sending out orders across the globe. People are running around with a packs of colorful clothing and digging deep down into boxes with t-shirts and dresses.

It is a bit stressfull but at lunch I will take some time off. I need it because now this is the perfect place for some serious "hide-and-seek"-games. Doris and Gertrud has not been spotted for hours. Well now you see me...

...and now you don't.

A little help goes a long way

Hi there,

sometimes Santas little helper comes to the office to help us out.
No, not really but not far from it. Our best friend Murat do. When visiting Sweden he help us out with both paperwork and measuring. Travelling all the way from Turkey. We pay him in homemade müsli. And he loves it. And the otherway around, we love him! Thanks for all the help, Murat. Please come back soon.

Hello pumpkin!

Soooo, it's been HALLOWEEN. The scariest time of the year. I have been so busy trick or treating. To scare people I dressed up as a vampire with a black cloak and pointy teeth. Oh! It was so fun.
Here I am. And it wasn't only me that loved my outfit. The grown-ups loved me to.

Happily ever after halloween everybody!

No Photoshop here

OMG! OMG! Oh My God! Danny is on the  cover of "Parents" magazine! I talked to him this saturday when we met over a cup of hot chocolate. This is what he had to say about this very exciting news:

Yeah, it was no ordinary day. We had to go up at four in the morning to get to make-up in time. Took about an hour or so to get ready and then it was time for hair. Lots of styling products. Greasy is an understatement of my hairdo that day but MAN did I look good in the pic!
After hair it was a long time when nothing happened. We drank coffe and just hung around the set. All the photoshoot guys was checking the light and changed the place around. At three in the afternoon we finelly got ready to start shooting. They took around 100 frames before calling it a shut. And if I say (don't wanna brag or anything) I seriously look stunning in this photo. Of course it got on the cover.

Thank's, Danny, for this summery of your day. So amazing to see him on the cover.
And you do look good in pink.

Well readers, have a happy monday! /Janne

New friend in town

Hello my lovely friends!
Last week when I went out to the woods I thought I saw something behind a tree. I got my camera out but it disapeared quickly and I only managed to get a bit of it on film.
I got very intrigued and went out to the woods again this weekend. I walked for hours but it payed off. Just before dark the thing appeared again and this time I got a better look.
Do you know what?! It's a giraff! And it followed me home and we drank lemonade and talked all night. We just clicked. It was magic. She is so funny and have so many great storys to tell. We became best friends. I love to meet new animals! Don't you?
Let me introduce Gudrun. The giraff. Best friend ever!

A walk in the woods

This week I switched the concrete jungle of Stockholm City to the real jungle. Well, we don't really have jungles in Sweden. But we do have very nice woods. Anyway, I went out to the woods. For some calmness and serene "own time" time. And look what I found!

Mushrooms!

Oh, happy me!

Turkey travel

I love to travel. This time I ended up in Istanbul, Turkey. This is where one of my best friends live. And we always do great adventures together.

This time we went to a factory to do some work, spent lots and lots of time stuck in traffic and ate a lot of fantastic food. Yummy in my tummy!

We also visited Istanbuls museum of modern art. A great place to get inspiration and we starred at pictures and things all day long.

Whenever I'm away I always miss my home sweet home. There is nothing like my own bed. But soon I will go away on new adventures. I can't live without them.

Happy weekend!

Time to celebrate

Not only is it friday, we also have this celebrity guest visiting. AND it is his birthday.
Happy HAPPY birthday, Murat, our big hero and link to the turkish production line.
This was like the most delicious cake EVER. Jenny made turkish ice cream to eat with the cake. So very yummy for my tummy.

I spy with my little eye...

...a huge (HUGE!) shipment of boxes. New marvelous Lipfish clothes has just arrived to the head office all the way from Turkey. I can't see the desks or chairs now just boxes everywhere. I will try and locate some of my friends because this must be the best day ever to play hide and seek.
And when all the boxes are empty I will make a fort out of them. Do you have a good idea what to make out of a Box? Please let me know.

Math

Hi you lovely blog readers!

I am hiding from the sun today. It is hot outside. I even heard thunder. Sweating away, so I took some time off from sunbathing and worked instead. I started counting the boxes in our stock room. But I lost count after five. Time for a banana I think. Mustn't work to hard...

Summer vacation

Hi there, all ya lovely froggers!

I have been on a holiday down south. Actually in Malmö. It's the third largest city in Sweden. And WOW! I had the time of my life.

The elevators in the hotel was made of glass (just like the one in "Charlie and the chocolate factory"). I spent a whole day just riding up (20th floor was the highest) and down looking at the view.

After that day I explored the city. A LOT to se. And do. Here I am trying out a pair of shoes. They once belonged to the swedish actor Nils Poppe.

Artist Åsa Maria Bengtsson has made replicas of famous swedish actors shoes and put these on one bridge in the central part of Malmö. They point in different directions that had a special reason to that specific actor.

I also had time for some typical swedish outdoor exercise. During summer a lot of people gather in the park to do "jympa".

Of course I met up with my friend Doris and we had a lovely pic nic.

The sun was shining the whole week so I took two baths a day (exept the elevator riding day).

In Malmö there is a huge beach. The water was lovely. The sun was hot. I got a bit tanned even though I had sunscreen on.

Now back in Stockholm for some more work.

C U soon, friends!

Happy Midsummer Eve!

Today we celebrate Midsummer in Sweden. We decorate a pole with lots of flowers and then dance around it. The best dance ever is about a frog. Like me!
I picked a lot of flowers... Tonight, before I fall asleep, I will put 7 flowers under my pillow and while picking those and all the way till I fall asleep I will be quiet. Otherwise it will not work...
And the story has it - I will be dreaming of my one true love that night.
We put some flowers on the Midsummer pole.
I actually have a fly on my nose in this pic.
A lot of happy people dancing around the pole. Looking like frogs and other strange things...
Me and my dad trying to figure out how many strawberries we can eat before we get a stomach ache. I voted for 17 but (and don't tell my dad, please) I only managed 8.

Well, all you friends of a frog, have a great Midsummer Eve!
Over and out.

The rainbow

It's a happy day here at the office. We have gotten a lot of fabric samples for checking colors etc. I do look smashing in the pink, I think. What is your favorite color?

A day trip to the Stockholm archipelago

I went out to the seaside this weekend. The sun was shining but the water was a toad bit too cold so I didn't go for a swim this time.

Merry Xmas, with Rudolph Reindeer

Wow, look at that bright Christmas red. But hey, it's Rudolph Reindeer with his red nose.

Janne: Hey Rudolph, how are you doing?

Rudolph: I'm fine. Being a model for these clothes are a lot easier than pulling Santas sleigh, I can tell you.

Janne: Tell me, have you stopped helping Santa deliver the Christmas presents now? Please, say that isn't true.

Rudolph: No Janne, you can be quite calm. Of course we will still visit all the children with Christmas presents, like we always do.

Janne: Phew, that's good. Any advice to the children?

Rudolph: It is more fun to give than to receive. Take care and be nice.

Check out the LipFish Christmas collection here.

Istanbul - with Janne Kurbağa

I went to Istanbul in September to check on some new LipFish things and have a mini holiday. As usual, it was really nice. This time I even had time to see some of the famous buildings and eat genuine turkish food.

The famous Agya Sofya. Once a church, then a mosque and now a very interesting museum. Over 1000 years old. Impressive.

An enormous baklava. This is called a "carrot baklava" since it is shaped like a carrot. Tasted better than a carrot though.

A rather dark picture of me in front of one of the Bosphorus bridges. Since it is a photograph you miss out on the fantastic lighting, which was changing all the time.

I really like Istanbul. If you get a chance to go there, don't miss it.

----

What a Kurbağa is? It is frog in turkish of course. :-)
